Preschool Staff

LAURIE KOESTNER is the director of the preschool and the teacher for the older 4-year-olds. She has her Master’s degree in Elementary Education and taught for many years in Russellville. She and her husband, Jerry, have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Laurie loves working with children, especially in literacy areas. She has many great ideas and enjoys sharing them with Preschoolers.

DESIREE DUNN is the facilitator for the Imagination Station and teacher of the Challenge Class on Fridays. She and her husband, J.P., have five children in their blended family. She was a geology student at the University of Houston and enjoys star gazing, camping, tractor pull events and all things with children.

Laura is the assistant for all the programs. She and her husband, Johnny, have two boys.  Laura worked in healthcare before volunteering at her boys’ schools, church youth programs, and as a paraprofessional at Blair Oaks. She enjoys camping, and fishing, and likes to watch her boys play sports.
