New members to First Presbyterian Church are received:
- Through a profession of faith (baptism or confirmation)
- Through a reaffirmation of faith
- Transfer of membership from another church

Inquirer/New Member Class
Pastors lead a series of three classes for those interested in learning more about the Presbyterian Church (USA) and First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City simply for the knowledge – or in preparation for joining this congregation.

Welcome Dinners
New members are invited by the deacons to a “Welcome Dinner” to meet others in the church family. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other members of the congregation and learn how you can become fully involved in the life and mission of the church.
